About the role

Analyst Interns sit at the heart of our investment process from day one. Interns are trusted with substantive work and gain direct exposure to Partners — supporting thematic sourcing and initial opportunity screening through due diligence, investment-committee analysis, and portfolio monitoring. It is a rare chance to see the full arc of a deal up close and to build a genuine foundation in private equity investing. This is a fixed-term internship. Based on performance and mutual fit, OGV may, at its discretion, consider exceptional interns for a full-time role.

What you'll do

  • Conduct company, industry, and competitive research to assess market attractiveness, business quality, and potential investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain operating and leveraged buyout models incorporating historical performance, management projections, acquisition financing, debt paydown, returns, downside cases, and key sensitivities.
  • Analyse financial statements, revenue quality, customer concentration, margins, cash conversion, working-capital requirements, capital expenditure, leverage capacity, and key downside risks.
  • Support financial, commercial, and operational due-diligence workstreams and review data-room materials alongside the deal team.
  • Help prepare screening summaries, investment memoranda, and materials for the investment committee.
  • Monitor portfolio-company performance against budgets, operating KPIs, and value-creation plans; assist with periodic reporting and analysis of operational improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree with a strong academic record; finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering, and other quantitatively rigorous disciplines are particularly relevant.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability, sound accounting fundamentals, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Prior financial-modelling experience is preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage several workstreams at once.
  • Intellectual curiosity, clear written communication, and the ability to form a view from incomplete information.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a small, high-ownership team and is receptive to direct feedback.
  • Fluency with modern data and AI tools, together with the ability to automate recurring research, analytical, or reporting tasks. Experience with scripting, APIs, or workflow-automation tools is strongly preferred.
  • Languages: full professional proficiency in English is required; Dutch and/or Danish are a plus.
  • Candidates must already hold valid work authorisation for the Netherlands for the full duration of the internship. OGV does not sponsor visas or work permits.

About the role

The Associate Intern works as an integral member of the deal team, owning core analyses and coordinating selected diligence workstreams under the guidance of senior investment professionals. You will help move opportunities from initial screening through due diligence and execution, and contribute directly to value-creation planning with our portfolio companies. The role suits someone who wants to test themselves in a fast-moving, senior environment where the quality of your judgement matters as much as your analysis. This is a fixed-term internship. Based on performance and mutual fit, OGV may, at its discretion, consider exceptional interns for a full-time role.

What you'll do

  • Own integrated operating and leveraged buyout models end-to-end, including acquisition financing, debt paydown, returns analysis, downside cases, and key sensitivities.
  • Evaluate market structure, competitive positioning, revenue quality, customer concentration, margins, cash conversion, working capital, capital expenditure, debt capacity, and the principal risks to the investment case.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, operational, tax, and legal due-diligence workstreams; maintain issue lists; and liaise with advisers under senior-team supervision.
  • Draft investment-committee materials and translate diligence findings into clear recommendations on valuation, structure, risks, and key transaction terms.
  • Support management teams and OGV professionals in developing 100-day plans, operating KPIs, portfolio reporting, and value-creation initiatives.
  • Support thematic sourcing, target prioritisation, and portfolio-performance analysis.
  • Review and provide guidance on work prepared by Analyst Interns when appropriate.

What we're looking for

  • Approximately 1–3 years of full-time experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction services, strategy consulting, or another rigorous transaction-oriented environment.
  • Advanced financial-modelling and analytical capabilities, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to identify the key commercial and financial drivers of an investment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders directly and the judgement to communicate issues promptly and precisely.
  • Sound commercial judgement, a high degree of ownership, and a record of producing accurate work under time pressure while managing several parallel workstreams.
  • Fluency with modern data and AI tools, together with the ability to automate recurring research, modelling, diligence, or reporting tasks.

This role sits within one of our operating companies, reports to the CEO and COO, and works closely with the OGV deal team. The Associate will source, evaluate, execute, and support the integration of add-on acquisitions that expand the company's network, capabilities, and footprint across Denmark.

What you'll do

  • Build and manage the acquisition pipeline through market mapping, target prioritisation, and disciplined tracking.
  • Lead outreach to founders and owners of prospective targets, managing those relationships with discretion, persistence, and respect for the businesses they have built.
  • Own valuation, financial modelling, and commercial diligence for each opportunity, including EBITDA normalisation, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, purchase-price bridges, returns, and synergy cases.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, operational, tax, and legal diligence; prepare decision materials; and support senior leadership through structuring, negotiation, signing, and closing.
  • Develop integration plans with Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and other functional leaders; establish clear accountability and milestones; and track synergies and performance against the original acquisition case.
  • Prepare concise recommendations and materials for executive leadership, the board, and OGV.
  • Help build a repeatable acquisition and integration playbook as the platform scales.

What we're looking for

  • At least four years of full-time experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory.
  • Demonstrated transaction experience across financial analysis, diligence, and execution; exposure to add-on acquisitions, founder-owned businesses, or post-merger integration is strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including financial-statement analysis, valuation, and transaction modelling, paired with commercial and operational instinct.
  • A proactive, relationship-driven approach and the autonomy to drive day-to-day execution while knowing when to escalate material issues.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to coordinate internal teams and external advisers across multiple live opportunities.
  • Credibility and empathy when engaging owners of local, founder-led businesses; experience in automotive services, multi-site consumer services, or another fragmented buy-and-build sector is advantageous but not required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and practical fluency with data and AI tools. The ability to automate market mapping, pipeline tracking, analysis, or reporting using coding, scripting, APIs, or workflow tools is strongly preferred.
  • Full professional proficiency in both Danish and English is required.
  • Candidates must already hold valid work authorisation for Denmark.
  • The role may be based in the Copenhagen, Brøndby, or Viborg office and requires frequent local travel across Denmark. A valid driving licence is required.
